Veterans

On any given night, more than 300,000 veterans are living on the streets or in shelters in the U.S. One in 10 veterans is disabled, oftentimes by injuries sustained in combat. About 70% of homeless veterans suffer from substance abuse problems. The incidence of PTSD and suicide rates among veterans is climbing. It is clear that our Nation’s heroes need us.
Our vision is that every individual who has served in the Military would know their community’s gratitude and commitment to their well-being. And we know that most of us don’t know how to help, especially when the needs are so great. Our Veterans face key challenges that differ depending on their individual circumstances, but the needs fall into the following main categories:
- Medical care
- Financial instability
- Affordable housing
- Homelessness & Isolation
- Emotional healing, mental health and drug abuse
- A search for reconnection to spouse/family unit
- Integration back into civilian work force.
Our mission is to connect communities and businesses with targeted projects to help our Veterans come home, heal and give them a hope and vision for their future.
